Inaugural concert

The Musicians of the World Symphony Orchestra (MWSO) is pleased to announce its inaugural concert “The Music We Love” which will be held on June 7th, 2006 at 20:00 PM at the Oscar Peterson Hall of Concordia University’s Loyola Campus. The orchestra’s unique mission is to provide accomplished musicians from various homelands and ethnic backgrounds the opportunity to display their musical talents to their peers and the Montréal community at large.

The media call the MWSO the ‘united nations of music’ and we are grateful for the support given to us from the cities of Montreal and Cote St-Luc. This inaugural concert is our way of saying ‘thank-you’ to everyone that has helped us so far, from city hall to the press” says M Joseph Milo, conductor and founder of the Orchestra.

The program includes honored classics such as Ravel’s Bolero, Beethoven’s first symphony, Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro Overture, Debussy’s Afternoon of a Faune. Special guests include the soprano soloist Chantal Parent who will perform Hetu’s Les Clartés de la Nuit and Oriental Strings who will perform traditional Chinese music.
